For those who have grown lonely...

...awaiting my return. Alas it is here!

Couple of updates since the last post. I've started my 4th and final quarter in graduate school. My last 3 months in Miami...at the date of this post I only have about 40 more days, which equals exactly 6 more weeks here in the hells of the MIA. My home(s) for the next year will hopefully be in London, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco (in that order). Tomorrow marks the date of my 4th quarter review. Which, for non-adschoolers, means my fate is determined and it decides whether or not I'm eligible to intern. My apologies for not updating the blog. Don't have much free time any more. Between Target Furniture, Army recruiting, San Francisco Jewish Film Festivals, and Pediatric Hospices in amusement parks ad campaigns I just don't have extra time to spill the beans.

On another note, for the avid reader in you....I just purchased the book The Journey Is the Destination: The Journals of Dan Eldon. In hopes that my creativity will be sparked as I travel to the next level of my educational experience.

And as expected, an update on the alumna front....a tentative trip is planned back to my "roots" in mid-September. The Rededication of Historic Sisters Chapel is expected to be a history making event. I've lost some of my footing here in Miami and hope this "Hajj" will center me once again as a Spelman woman.

Last but not least, on a personal level I have given up drinking. Let's see how long this lasts, but I'm too old to have 2 day hangovers and puking my guts out at 8:00 in the evening. One week sober and counting. Though tempted tonight at Happy Hour....the deal includes free sushi as long as u participate in the 2 for 1 drink specials (martinis, sake, wine by the glass....good shit!)...I resisted. Wish me luck, only words of encouragement are accepted.

I see that you are interested in the work of Dan Eldon...

I am an award-winning photojournalist and I just announced a project, Ruminations on America, www.ruminationsonamerica.blogspot.com, which is dedicated to Kathy and Amy Eldon on the twelfth anniversary of Dan's death. I hope you will consider participating in the project or promoting it to friends who might be interested.
